Intercession

Prayer is more impactful than we often realise.

Technology allows us to not only pray at home on our own, but also to join with others. I have been blessed to be a part of two prayer groups that meet through What’s App each week. We are able to intercede for everyone that is sick, families which are grieving, and the vulnerable who live in poverty, especially the gogo’s (grandmothers), who are often raising many children and teenagers on their modest pensions.

“Pray without ceasing”

Thessalonians 5:17

“Prayer is the world’s greatest wireless connection.”We have an unlimited connection to God, with no need for data or signal, and the power supply is constant. We can have direct conversations with our Heavenly Father to influence the nation. We have more power to affect change than a diplomat or MP as we have access to the King of kings Who is above all governments.
“Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work.” – Oswald Chambers“To get nations back on their feet, we must first get down on our knees.” – Billy Graham

Psalm 72 is a prayer for the king which we can use to pray for our Presidents and leaders. The decisions they have to make are difficult and have negative consequences either way.
May we have a spirit of love, power and a sound mind during this time as we extend the peace of God to those around us.
