#ThursdayThoughts

In early 2018, as a staff family we felt God say this to us. Since then we have been committed to creating space to listen to His voice and respond. In our collaborative leadership approach, everyone is able to hear God and share what they feel He has placed on their heart for the organisation.

We are looking forward to partnering with The CommUnity Project on two projects, a new Counselling Centre and upgrades to our outdoor Simunye playground. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact them directly or email hello@thecommunityproject.co.za 🎉Calling all aspiring interior decorators, handymen and painters we need you.

If you feel I like you fit into the above mentioned categories or even if you don’t but are willing to give of your time (or perhaps donate paint/old furniture/varnish etc) and feel like Seed of Hope is an organization that you would like to support please get in touch with us.

The work that they do at Seed of Hope is truly amazing.

Check out this video they created for the Simunye Project.

Mothering is a gift from God, and often a thankless gift - but SOH took time this week to celebrate, honour and encourage the mothers and Gogos of our community who truly are the foundational pillar to which the next generation cling to.

In communities like Bhekulwandle, there are many mothers who are not celebrated on Mothers Day; women whose children have passed away too young, whose teenagers are bound by the chains of whonga and alcohol. These unfortunately are the realities for many mothers in rural SA. We believe that our role in this community is to bring connection and build community.
