Our Abaholi Bakusasa program is impacting over 600 Grade 7 - 12 students in our local schools. Last week, Lindokuhle was teaching the Grade 7s at DR Made Senior Primary on the importance of being a person of good character; an essential trait for our future role models and leaders in this community.

Following the training in the schools, the Abaholi Bakusasa Team gather on Mondays to review the previous week's lessons, giving the team an important time to reflect and give feedback so that they keep on growing as leaders and facilitators.

There is much joy! Yesterday our Bake-for-Profit program was launched by Buli Cele, our Bake-for-Profit facilitator. Buli launched the program with their first theory lesson. This lesson focused on running through all their baking tools and equipment. 🥣 Thank you to all our sponsors for donating the kitchen equipment. Next week our students first practical lesson will take place where they will have the opportunity to use what they have learnt

Thank you Learn to Earn South Africa for partnering with us in making this course available to the community in Bhekulwandle.

This course is designed so that both baking and business skills learnt in theory are put into practice in real life situations. With the high unemployment rate in South Africa, the Bake-for-Profit course is meeting one of the deepest needs in communities throughout the country: the right to earn a living.
