Never Too Late to Start Again

admin Employment Stories

In July 2017 we started our initial Khulanathi process pilot with two week’s of adult life skills and leadership development. This section of the process was actually requested by members of the community at a community meeting that we facilitated earlier that year.

One of our older participants that attended the program, reported that she realised through this course the life style mistakes she made when she was younger, and how those decisions had affected her life negatively and even hindered her from actively pursuing her dreams and opportunities.

She said it was like being stuck for so many years that you are no longer sure why you got stuck in the first place. But through the lessons it was like a light bulb came on and she knew what she needed to do and change, so that she could move forward again.

She realised that it is never too late to start over again. As a result of participating in the course, she has since gone back to completing her tertiary studies that she had put on hold for numerous years.
